Internationally-educated engineers - Career Development Program

With our partnership with the University of Manitoba Internationally-educated Engineers Qualification Program (IEEQ), we fully support the ongoing development of internationally recognized engineers in their pursuit of reaching academic qualifications within the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Manitoba (APEGM). It is through that partnership that we offer the Career Development Program for Internationally Educated Engineers.

  • Coordinated by our Internationally-educated Engineers - Career Development Program committee that consists of Engineers within the 3 disciplines (electrical, mechanical, civil) and HR professionals. This committee is assisted by the University of Manitoba’s IEEQ program director.
  • Disbursement of 2 $2,500 bursaries on an annual basis for students enrolled in the program.
  • Co-op opportunities from May to August on an annual basis for those students enrolled in the University of Manitoba’s IEEQ program.
  • The Internationally-educated Engineers - Career Development Program recruits 1 to 2 student(s) per year who have successfully completed the IEEQ Program.

How to apply

The IEEQ program director will issue an invite to apply for bursary consideration in January. All possible co-op placements will be coordinated through the IEEQ program director. This process usually starts in January with the selections for the Career Development Program starting in August.
