Summer Employment Opportunities

We are committed to supporting youth enrolled in academic programs by offering work experience in the energy industry through our summer student employment program.

Program

• Employment opportunities for university, college and high school students.
• We hire over 300 students throughout Manitoba to work in areas of maintenance, labour, customer service, accounting, engineering, marketing and information technology.
• Linked to our Educational Funding program as some recipients of bursaries, awards and scholarships are also provided summer employment opportunities.

Program Framework

• All eligible students must be registered with provincial STEP services.
• Students enrolled in full-time studies, at least 16 years of age and a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant are eligible.
• Typically we hire students who are enrolled in academic programs that support our operational requirements.
• We are committed to hiring students from designated employment equity groups.
• Summer Student Employment Program begins in January for spring hires.

How to Apply

Register now with provincial STEP services.
STEP services is responsible for all referrals and placements for students seeking work in provincial government and crown corporations.
