In support of our ongoing commitment to employment equity, the following scholarships and bursaries are open to students in Manitoba:

First year Information Technology Bursary

We offer 2 bursaries of $1,500 to members of a designated diversity group who are:

  • students enrolled in their first year of studies at University of Manitoba, University of Winnipeg, or Brandon University in computer sciences, or computer engineering;
    OR
  • students enrolled in their first year of studies at Red River College or Assiniboine Community College in a 2- to 2.5-year diploma program studying computer analyst/programming, information systems technology, business information technology or computer systems technology.
  • academic performance, financial need, and community involvement are considered.

Construction Management Degree Bursaries

We offer 6 bursaries that range in value from $500 to $2000 to members of a designated diversity group enrolled in years 1 through 4 of Red River College's Construction Management Degree Program:

  • year 1: Civil Technician Certificate, 2 $500 bursaries;
  • year 2: Building Technician Certificate, 1 $1,000 bursary;
  • year 3: Construction Technology Diploma, 2 $1,500 bursaries;
  • year 4: Bachelor of Technology, Construction Management, 2 $2,000 bursaries.

We offer 3 $500 awards to Indigenous students who are enrolled in the first year of the ACCESS Civil Engineering Technology Program at Red River College. Academic performance, financial need, and community involvement are considered.

We offer awards to Indigenous students enrolled in the Introduction to Trades program at Red River College. Academic performance, financial need, and community involvement are considered.

  • 3 awards of $500 for the February class;
  • 3 awards of $500 for the September class.

Application deadlines are March 1 for February class and October 1 for September class.

We offer a $1,000 scholarship based on academic performance to a student enrolled in their second year of Electrical Engineering Technology program at Red River College.
