Manitoba Hydro Utility Services (MHUS)

MHUS operates as an independent entity providing various services back to Manitoba Hydro. MHUS provides province-wide, cost effective, value-added meter reading for both natural gas and electricity and contracted labour services to Manitoba Hydro, while ensuring the utility's customer needs are met in a reliable, accurate, and responsive manner. MHUS headquarters are situated at 35 Sutherland Avenue in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with approximately 60 full time employees and another 40 who work on a casual basis. The main office number is 204-360-5660.

Manitoba Hydro International Ltd. (MHI)

MHI consists of these operating businesses:

Manitoba Hydro International - International Utility Services (IUS)

IUS has overall business and technical expertise in the electric utility industry and provides consulting, technical support, management, auditing, training, and technology transfer services to customers in the electric utility industry worldwide since 1986. IUS also commercializes utility products, including the distribution supply centres.

Canadian Gas Services International (CGSI)

CGSI, an initiative between MHI and Encor International Incorporated, is a specialized division of MHI providing consulting, engineering, management, auditing, training, and information technology services to customers in the gas utility industry.

Manitoba HVDC Research Centre

Manitoba HVDC Research Centre provides consulting, engineering, research, testing, technical support, and training services with a focus on power system simulation, computer hardware / software products, power electronics implementations and instrumentation. PSCAD / EMTDC is a powerful electromagnetic time domain transient simulation environment and study tool that has been used by customers worldwide since 1993.

W.I.R.E. Services

W.I.R.E. Services provides transmission line analysis and upgrade engineering solutions, including line verification and re-rating services, to the electric utility industry worldwide by using its extensive experience in transmission line design and expertise LiDAR applications.

Manitoba Hydro Telecom (MHT)

MHT, along with Manitoba Hydro's Communication department, owns, operates, monitors and maintains one of the largest communications networks in Manitoba. MHT provides dedicated, scalable broadband capacity and data centre services to carriers, wireless operators, private and public corporations and organizations.
