ecoENERGY Grant

Natural Resources Canada's ecoENERGY Retrofit – Homes program offers a $4,375 grant for geothermal installations that replace an existing heating system.

Eligibility requirements:

• The homeowner must have a Natural Resources Canada (NRCan)-licensed energy advisor do a Power Smart ecoENERGY In-Home Energy Evaluation both before installation or purchase of any energy saving improvements and after the upgrades have been made.
• The system installer/contractor must be CGC-accredited for the installation to be eligible (as of April 1, 2008).
• Installation must meet CSA Standard 448.02 – "Design and Installation of Earth Energy Systems".
• Following installation, the system installer/contractor must complete a "CSA 448 Design and Installation Compliance & Commissioning Report".
