Forest Enhancement Program

We encourage the public to help us make Manitoba's natural and community forest environment more attractive, diverse, widespread and productive.

Funding support is provided to enhance and sustain the forest environment of the communities and regions of Manitoba. Projects that may contribute to addressing climate change are of special interest. All projects that provide present and future benefits to the people of their community, their region, or the province as a whole will be considered.

Applications are accepted each year from July 1 to November 1. If your group or community could benefit from some added trees next summer, apply to the Forest Enhancement Program.

Trees help create neighbourhood jewel: 55 donated trees from the Forest Enhancement Program helped a group of neighbours remake Winnipeg’s Peanut Park into a desirable family destination. Read more.
