Eligibility & Timeline

Important Dates:

• Submissions will be accepted until April 27, 2012.
• Award winners are announced each year on Manitoba Day, May 12.
• Awards are presented each year on National Aboriginal Day, June 21.

Any environmental activity planned or implemented by Aboriginal people, or involving Aboriginal people in the province of Manitoba, is eligible for the Spirit of the Earth Awards program.

Applications may be submitted by:

• Individuals;
• Aboriginal organizations;
• Youth and student organizations;
• Cultural, religious and sport groups;
• Educational institutions;
• Media;
• Trade or professional organizations;
• Local governments;
• Business.
