Yes. Nominees or applicants may submit projects or initiatives that are currently underway, or that have been completed in the last calendar year.
Only individuals may submit nominations or applications. If a project represents the efforts of an organization or group, one person must represent the group.
All are evaluated according to the same criteria. The project/initiative must demonstrate a positive impact on the environment, illustrate direct involvement of Aboriginal people and show how education was part of the project/initiative.
Any individual or organization undertaking an environmental activity with Aboriginal people, or involving Aboriginal people, that has been implemented or is now operational.
Yes. However, the enterprise must meet the selection criteria to be considered for an award.
Yes. Nominees or applicants may submit more than one entry. Each must be submitted as a separate entry.
Yes. You can submit a nomination or apply on behalf of someone else or an organization. If you know someone who would qualify, encourage that person/organization to apply.
The awards program is open to all Manitobans, and the activities must take place in Manitoba. Partnerships with national or international organizations are acceptable.
A: Award winners will be invited to attend a special presentation ceremony linked with annual National Aboriginal Day Celebrations (June 21) where they will receive their award.
