Outages

Electrical service can be disrupted without warning. Your power may be off for a few hours or, in extreme cases, a few days. If your power goes out:

  • Check to see if the neighbours are affected. If they are, turn off all appliances and lights. Leave one light on so you can tell when power has been restored and report your power outage to us.
  • If your house or farm is the only one affected, the problem could be that a fuse has blown or a circuit has tripped. If your power is still off after you've checked your fuse box, leave one light on so you can tell when power has been restored and report your power outage to us.

For current outage information, visit our Twitter profile (you don't need to log in to see it).
