We are working toward a power purchase agreement to buy wind energy from a proposed wind farm at St. Joseph, near Letellier, in southern Manitoba. While our Request for Purchase was for up to 300 MW, the wind farm developer has indicated that the wind farm size will be 138 MW.
Subject to the successful negotiation of a power purchase agreement, the wind farm is expected to begin construction in 2009. Power deliveries may start as early as 2011. The exact schedule will depend on the availability of materials and equipment for the wind turbines and related transmission facilities.
