Electric Tools
Before you work with electric tools, read the manufacturer’s operating instructions carefully. These will give the limitations and safety features of a particular power tool. Use the tool for its intended purpose only, never for anything else.
- Never leave a power tool running while it is unattended. When you are finished with a tool, unplug it and put it away.
- Make sure the switch is turned off before unplugging or plugging in any power tool. This will avoid accidental start-ups.
- If a power tool is fitted with a grounded cord cap, it should be plugged into a grounded outlet to ensure the tool is properly grounded.
- Keep the work area dry. Dampness and electricity could combine to deliver a lethal electrical shock.
- If a power tool needs servicing, take it to a professional serviceman. Unless you are qualified, never attempt repairs yourself.
