Biomass currently disposed of via landfilling, land application and/or incineration is considered eligible.
Contingency biomass fuel:
Dedicated energy crops procured from agricultural producers in Manitoba and/or biomass fuels purchased from biomass fuel manufacturers.
Firm capacity:
The capability to deliver energy when called for by the energy consuming load(s).
Combined heat & power (CHP):
The simultaneous production of heat and power from a fuel source in order to achieve a high rate of fuel conversion efficiency.
Customer sited load displacement generation:
On-site energy generation that supplies part or all of the customer’s own energy needs.
