Typically, the Power Smart Energy Manager will use 3 strategies to improve your schools' energy efficiency:
- Best practices: identifying no-cost behavioral changes, such as turning off equipment when not in use.
- No-cost and low-cost improvements: identifying opportunities that require little or moderate investment, such as reviewing scheduling and preventative maintenance procedures for equipment.
- Medium- to high-cost improvements: identifying those opportunities that may require more significant investment, such as installing new HVAC control equipment.
