Buy and install a new ENERGY STAR qualified steamer (electric or natural gas) to save energy and qualify for a rebate of $2,500 per unit.

ENERGY STAR qualified steam cookers are up to 73 per cent more energy efficient than standard models, reducing both operating costs and greenhouse gas emissions. Other benefits include:

  • improved insulation reduces heat loss;
  • higher production rates;
  • more control features allow:
    • better monitoring of the cooking process;
    • reduced energy input during idle times;
    • extended food holding times.
  • connectionless steamer:
    • eliminates the need for drain pipes and water supply;
    • reduces water consumption;
    • eliminates lime buildup, thereby reducing maintenance.
