Eligible Product List

Refer to this list prior to applying for the Commercial Lighting Program for product eligibility. All applications must be pre-approved prior to the purchase and installation of any lighting equipment in order to receive a financial incentive. All products on the eligible product list must be approved by Manitoba Hydro.

T8 fluorescent lighting systems

• standard fixtures;

• standard ballasts;
• premium ballasts;
• dimmable ballasts;
• step dimmable ballasts*;
• energy efficient lamps.

T5 fluorescent lighting systems

• retrofit fixtures;
• regular output ballasts;

• energy efficient lamps.

Induction lighting systems

• induction fixtures.

Compact fluorescent lighting systems

• hard-wired ballasts;
• hard-wired dimmable ballasts;
• screw-in lamps;
• screw-in dimmable lamps.

High intensity discharge lighting systems

• metal halide probe start fixtures magnetic ballasts;
• metal halide pulse start fixtures magnetic ballasts;
• metal halide pulse start fixtures electronic ballasts*;
• metal halide pulse start ceramic fixtures magnetic ballasts;
• metal halide pulse start ceramic fixtures electronic ballasts*;
• metal halide pulse start ceramic fixtures dimmable electronic ballasts*;
• metal halide pulse start electronic ballasts;
• metal halide energy efficient lamps;
• high pressure sodium fixtures magnetic ballasts;
• high pressure sodium fixtures electronic ballasts*;

All metal halide fixtures must be totally enclosed for safety.
