Changes to New Construction Projects

Effective April 1, 2011, the Power Smart New Buildings Program will replace many of the Power Smart for Business programs' new construction components.

To be eligible for new construction components, application forms must be completed and pre-approved by Manitoba Hydro before April 1, 2011. Any new construction applications received on or after April 1, 2011 will not be eligible.

The following Power Smart for Business Programs will still be available for new construction projects as of April 1, 2011:

• Lighting Program (exterior only);
• Custom Measures Program;
• Clothes Washers Program;
• Kitchen Appliances Program;
• Refrigeration Program;
• Network Energy Manager Program.
