More than half of the water used for washing dishes is consumed during the pre-rinse. An energy efficient pre-rinse valve reduces your water and energy bills, while still getting dishes as clean as before.
While a standard pre-rinse valve flows at 11–15 litres per minute, an energy efficient "low-flow" valve uses under 5 litres per minute; that's a reduction of 55 to 65 per cent. If you use your valve just two hours a day, you could save $560 per year in water consumption and $500 per year in energy costs (to heat the water). That's more than $5,000 in five years!
