We encourage our customers to buy energy efficient appliances for their homes. The ENERGY STAR symbol identifies the models that meet or exceed technical specification that is meant to ensure that they are among the most energy efficient in their class and do not compromise performance. ENERGY STAR appliances are 10–50 per cent more efficient than conventional models. When you buy an ENERGY STAR qualified appliance, you are being Power Smart.
Products with the ENERGY STAR symbol are the most energy efficient appliances available. Specific models that display the ENERGY STAR symbol will either meet or exceed premium levels of energy efficiency. When you purchase an ENERGY STAR qualified product you can be certain that you are being Power Smart.
When you buy an appliance there are actually two price tags. The first is the cost of the appliance. The "$econd Price Tag" is what you will pay to operate the appliance during its lifetime. You will pay these operating costs every month on your energy bill. The less energy an appliance uses, the more you can save. Don't forget to consider the $econd Price Tag when purchasing your appliances.
