Residential Propane and Oil Furnace/Boiler Replacement Program

We can help lower your annual heating bills. Replace your existing propane or oil furnace/boiler with a high efficiency natural gas or electric furnace/boiler, or a geothermal heating system, and receive a $245 rebate on your Manitoba Hydro bill.

The cost to replace your propane or oil furnace could pay for itself in as little as 4.5 years with the money you save on your energy bill.

This program gives you the option for an affordable, alternative energy source that is also more environmentally friendly.

Upgrading to an efficient heating system is an economically and environmentally responsible choice because it:

  • uses less energy, which helps conserve non-renewable resources and reduces greenhouse gas emissions;
  • accumulates savings over its their lifetime from lower energy use;
  • costs less to operate;
  • has more efficient motors and fans than standard efficiency systems.

While savings vary for every home, the average Manitoba Hydro customer could see savings of up to $558 or more each year in addition to the $245 rebate.
