Why Should I Upgrade?

Many setback thermostats can be used for both heating and cooling and will allow you to save energy throughout the year. A typical setback thermostat can be programmed to lower the temperature while you are asleep or at work and then raised just before you get out of bed or return to the house.

Other reasons to upgrade to a setback thermostat:

  • they are widely available;
  • typically easy to install;
  • they pay for themselves within 2 to 4 years.

Look for the setback thermostat that is right for your heating system.

Note: If you are buying a setback thermostat for baseboard heaters, it needs to be installed by a licensed electrician.
