How to Take Part

The Power Smart Water and Energy Saver Kit is available to Manitoba Hydro residential customers who own or rent their home and property managers or landlords who manage or own a multi-unit residential property. The home must be occupied year-round.

Participants of the WISE Program will have already received water and energy saving devices that have the same energy saving benefits as those included in the Water and Energy Saver Kits.

If you are a property manager and/or landlord, please email Power Smart for Business with your contact information and the number of residential buildings and suites that you manage. A Manitoba Hydro Power Smart Sales Representative will be in contact with you shortly.

Eligibility

If you are a Manitoba Hydro residential customer, you must satisfy all of the following before proceeding with your order:

  • You have not ordered a Water and Energy Saver Kit in the past.
  • You are the homeowner or tenant.
  • Your home is occupied year-round. Seasonal residences (i.e. cottages or cabins) are not eligible. The water use and water heater energy consumption in a seasonal home (e.g. cottage) is less than an average residential home, so the energy and water savings don't provide sufficient economic benefits to offer a free kit to seasonal homeowners.
  • The kit must be sent to an address within the province of Manitoba.

To sign up for your free kit, you will need to provide your address, contact information, and indicate the type of fuel your water heater uses.
