Rates effective June 1, 2018

Effective June 1, 2018, electricity rates increased by an average 3.6%. View bill impacts by customer class.

Residential standard rates – electricity

Minimum monthly bill is the basic charge.
Residential seasonal rates – electricity

Energy charge 8.527¢/kWh
Minimum annual bill is the basic charge. Billed in April for the annual basic charge and past October 16 to April 15 consumption. Billed in October for April 16 to October 15 consumption. Applicable to customers using less than 7,500 kWh per billing.
First Nations On-Reserve – residential

Basic monthly charge exceeding 200 Amp $16.16
Energy charge 8.196¢/kWh
Minimum annual bill is the basic charge. The rate applies to residential services on First Nations Reserve land.
Residential diesel rates – electricity

Basic monthly charge not exceeding 60 Amp $8.08
Energy charge 8.196¢/kWh
Minimum monthly bill is the monthly basic charge. The residential rate applies to all residential services in the diesel communities, provided the service capacity does not exceed 60 A, 120/240 V, single phase.

Natural gas

Rates effective May 1, 2018

Effective May 1, 2018, the Primary Gas rate will remain unchanged from the February 1, 2018 approved rate.

Natural gas is a commodity that is traded on the open market, and prices rise and fall with supply and demand. Our natural gas costs are passed on to you without markup. To maximize your choice and value, we offer variable quarterly and fixed rate options to help you find your best service option.
