Landlord terms and conditions
Landlords may apply to the Affordable Energy Program to implement energy saving upgrades and improve the comfort of the homes their tenants live in.
In order to be eligible, the landlord must agree to the following terms and conditions:
- the tenant must meet the qualifying income threshold;
- upgrades apply to single detached and multi-attached homes;
- the landlord must consent to upgrades made through the program;
- if the landlord pays the utility bill for the tenant, the savings should be passed on to the tenant. We will work with the landlord on a case-by-case basis.
If you think your tenant(s) and rental property might qualify for the Affordable Energy Program, complete the Eligibility Application (PDF, 166 KB) and have your tenant complete the Voluntary Consent form (PDF, 157 KB) and submit it along with their income tax information to:
