Neighbours Helping Neighbours is one-time support option to help cover the cost of an overdue energy bill. It’s funded by private and corporate donations and run in partnership with The Salvation Army. If you’re struggling to make ends meet, this can help.
Eligibility
You may be eligible for Neighbours Helping Neighbours if:
- you’re a Manitoba Hydro customer and live in Manitoba
- you’re currently in 60 days arrears or greater
- you have a final or disconnection notice
- you’re not receiving social assistance
- you haven’t received assistance from this program
How to apply
To apply for support, you’ll meet with our program administrator, fill out an application and provide proof of income for all household members for the current year. Contact The Salvation Army office closest to you to get started:
