If you are affected by Northern Manitoba wildfires

We recognize the devastating effect the wildfires have had on Northern Manitoba communities and our thoughts are with all those who have been displaced or affected.

To support you during this difficult time, we will:

  • Waive late payment charges for the next six months for customers in evacuated communities.
  • Pause collections for our customers who are affected by wildfire evacuations or outages so there is no additional stress during this period.

We understand that some of you may still get bills based on estimated electricity use. If your property has not been using power—especially if your community is without service—this may result in inaccurate billing.

What you can do

Once it’s safe to return to your home or property, we encourage you to submit a meter reading. This will help us adjust your bill to reflect your actual electricity use during the evacuation period.

If you have a commercial demand electricity meter, require service restoration or have any additional questions regarding your account please contact us at 1-888-624-9376 (1-888-MB-HYDRO). We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to support you through this crisis.
