Project overview
The location of the proposed Summit Station (black outlined box) and the two 115 kV transmission lines (solid green line).
CentrePort is a growing industrial and commercial hub in the rural municipality of Rosser, adjacent to the City of Winnipeg. As businesses in the area continue to expand, the demand for electricity is quickly increasing. To meet the rising demand and support continued economic development in the CentrePort area, Summit Station will be added to the network. Summit Station will be a 115-24 kV facility that will connect to our electrical system through two new 115 kV transmission lines, approximately 350 metres in length.
As part of the regulatory process, we will be preparing and submitting an environmental assessment report to Manitoba Environment and Climate Change to seek approval for the project as a Class 2 development.
