Step 1 Before move-in day

Gather all the information that you’ll need before you apply.

If you rent

  • your contact information
  • employment status
  • co-applicant information (if relevant)
  • your new address
  • the date you received your keys
  • landlord's contact information
  • seven-digit MH meter number(s)
  • move-in meter reading(s)

If you own

  • your contact information
  • employment status
  • co-applicant information (if relevant)
  • your new address
  • legal possession date

Step 2 On move-in day

Complete and submit the following two online forms on move-in day. Your form will be processed within two weeks. We can only process your application once all your information has been received.

Step 3 Register for your online account

Once your application is processed, we’ll send you a welcome email with your 14-digit account number. Use the link in the email to activate your online account.

Your online account gives you 24/7 access to view your bills, payment history, compare energy use and set up personalized notifications. Learn more about an online account.

Step 4 View your first bill

Your first bill will be ready 45-60 days after your application has been processed.

  • If you purchased a property, billing starts on the legal possession date, which can be found on your purchase agreement.
  • If you’re moving to a rental property, you’re responsible for paying the energy bills from the day you receive the keys until the day you return them to the landlord.
  • If you’re a commercial customer you may need to pay a security deposit.

To get a new service connection (such as installing an electrical or natural gas service that wasn't there before), you'll need to apply for a service connection.
