Manitoba Hydro and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 2034 reached a tentative collective agreement earlier today.

Specific terms of the offer will not be disclosed. The union has indicated they are recommending acceptance of the offer. The union also agreed to pause all strike action effective immediately pending the results of a ratification vote next week.

The improved offer was presented late Tuesday.

IBEW represents approximately 2,300 electrical workers at Manitoba Hydro across the province. The union began strike action June 30.
