Billing during a postal strike

If you receive or pay your bill by mail you could experience delays during a strike at Canada Post.

You are responsible for making payments on time during a postal strike.

Sign up for an online account

You can view your account balance and bill due date through an online account with us. Learn how to sign up.

You can also set up pre-authorized payments through your online account, to avoid forgetting to make a payment.

If you have an online account you can continue to receive a paper bill if you wish.

Payment can also be made in person or online through the your bank or credit union. Read more about payment options.

Do not put payment cheques in the mail during a strike.

If you choose not to set up an online account, we offer a self-service phone channel. The automated system will provide account balance and due date. You’ll need your 14-digit account number.

You can choose to speak to a customer service representative. This may involve waiting on hold for a period of time due to higher call volumes.

You are responsible for paying your bill. If you’re having trouble making full payment on time, you can ask about a payment arrangement with us.
