Canada Post service disruption

Billing during a postal strike

A strike by Canada Post workers will stop the delivery of our paper bills and your payments. Don’t put payment cheques in the mail during a strike.

You’re responsible for making payments on time during a postal strike. Avoid delays and missed payments by creating an online account.

You can see your account balance and bill due date through your online account. Make sure you don’t forget a payment by setting up pre-authorized payments. If you have an online account you can still get a paper bill if you wish.

Payments can also be made in person or online through your bank or credit union. Read about payment options.

If you choose not to set up an online account, we will offer a self-service phone option 1-888-MB HYDRO (1-888-624-9376). The automated system will provide you your account balance and due date. You will need your 14-digit account number.

You can choose to speak to a customer service representative . This could mean waiting on hold due to higher call volumes.
