More Hydro customers are getting bogus e-mails and texts attempting to scam them out of their money. We do not ask for prepaid debit cards, payments over the phone, or ask customers to wire money.

With the heating season upon us, the risk of carbon monoxide exposure increases. Carbon monoxide (CO) exposure is caused by faulty or improperly vented heating equipment. Anything that burns propane, heating oil, kerosene, coal and wood can cause dangerous levels of CO in your home and workplace if not properly vented.

All communities that lost power in an unmatched Thanksgiving weekend storm are now restored — opening the way for evacuated residents to prepare to return home.

Less than 2,000 customers remain without electricity today as work to repair damage caused by last weekend’s storm continues.

Hundreds of Manitoba Hydro staff working on the restoration of power to thousands of impacted Manitobans will be able to cast ballots in Monday’s federal election, at polling stations in the affected areas.

Over 1,000 personnel are currently working in Southern Manitoba, including in the Interlake, Dauphin and Portage regions, to rebuild and repair about 800 kilometres of power lines damaged in last weekend’s storm.
